We are going into the fourth part of our series on how to grow your real estate business this year. The journey where a realtor is selling their client’s home. If you're not a realtor that's okay. Watch the video or read below because you're going to get ideas for your business. You'll see how to grow your business and how to make your clients become loyal and your referral partners. We are at the stage where you are building loyalty. All along this journey, I’ve asked you to step into your client’s shoes, see things through their eyes. Think about how your client is feeling right now. They just got the offer they wanted to sell their home. What emotions are they feeling, what thoughts are going through their head? How can you help them transition through this? Note: Get the slides that are shown in the video, content ideas and other goodies to use during your customer’s journey to help you grow your business this year. Just click on the button below to download them! I can tell you how I felt, one word... overwhelmed! I was running my business. raising my kids. Being a wife all while selling my home and buying a new one. We had a lot of things we needed to do, to figure out, logistics, packing, etc. What I didn’t expect…our home sold two weeks faster than the house we were buying and we had no idea what we were going to do for those 2 weeks. Where would we store our belongings, where would we stay, what would we do about the kid’s school and so much more. We’ve never been in that situation before and didn’t know what to do. Neither of our realtors helped us through that, gave us recommendations, etc. We had to figure it out on our own. Looking back, I should have asked them. I’m sure they had resources. We weren’t their first clients to face this challenge. Ask yourself, what can you do to help your clients?A realtor can give their client’s a moving checklist which helps them figure out what they need to turn off and setup between their old and new homes. Especially if they are moving to a new community. Things were done differently in the new community and we had to ask our friend Google for a lot of help! Help them figure out how to move with pets, with children, with a live-in parent. If they have those situations, put those tips into the moving kit that we can do for you. Always include a branded item in your moving survival kit to help you stay top of mind and get in front of new prospects. I remember when we were packing and moving that there were times that we needed a tool that we didn't have. This little black tool shown in the image above is an 18 in 1 tools that's credit card sized. It fits in your wallet and we can brand it for you. It's something they're going to use during and after their move too. So perfectly, perfect for you to give your clients!! Did you know that nostalgia is HOT? We can create your moving survival kit out of our retro lunch box, put your custom imprint on it and fill it with the items you’d like. Partner with a pizza place, businesses that your client’s need during their move and your collaboration team. Put coupons inside your moving kit for these businesses to help your clients and your partners do business together. Add some moving supplies like tape, labels, sharpie, and things that they will need while packing. Now it's the closing day. Yes! The day that everybody's been waiting for. On closing day, our realtor gave me a branded USB drive on a keychain with the keys to my new home. I was grateful that he didn’t hand me more paperwork. Our belongings were being stored in pods and they weren’t coming until the next day. I had no place to put paper documents and keep them organized. This keychain was perfect. Put together a closing kit to help them and one that will keep you top of mind long after they’ve moved into their new home. Include a power bank to charge their phone. Their phone is moving between homes with them, electricity may not be set up at their new home either so a power bank will help a lot.Add a return address stamp with their new home address. We’d love to create this one for you because it’s branded with your information on the outside.Don't forget the kids and the pets. Moving affects the entire family. My son took about two years to transition to our new home and community and finally be happy. He'll never want to go back but for two years he was sad, he missed his friends, he missed his old school. We forget that moving is hard for kids. Give them something that comforts them. Give them a stuffed animal, something they can hold on to when they are feeling scared and lonely.Don’t forget to add that special, personal touch, and give them a handwritten card. They're going to keep this card, they’re going to post it up at their desk at the office, on the refrigerator of their home, etc. and anybody who sees it is exposed to you and may even be your next client! Remember, it’s not just a card, it's marketing. It’s branding and a great way to build relationships. Now is the time that your client loves working with you so much and you’ve built a deep relationship with them so they can’t stop bragging about you and they’ve sent you a referral. What do you do now? I've given you a system to follow over these last 4 weeks. You don't have to think about: What do I do next? How do I build this relationship? How do I turn them into loyal clients? How do I get a referral out of this new client? You just put them through the system and then you have a steady flow of income and referrals! This is what's going to grow your business. This is how you give your clients the Hygge life this year. Simplify their life. Bring them joy.
